On our way to Senegal

I apologies for not posting any world music lately but I didn’t come up with any bright ideas so I didn’t want to spam my blog just for the sake of sharing tunes.

Today I had to think of a PR campaign for an imaginary client – a Senegalese hip-hopper. So I did a bit of research on Senegal music and realised Youssou N’Dour was from Senegal…

This is a song I heard some years ago on a scout camp in the South of France. I can still remember the Senegal scouts dancing and singing and it was just magical. They even had drums and other instruments with them and we all ended up shaking it around the camp fire. Memories…
