PR, Films and Fantasies

Me and The World of Work

As a recent MA graduate in Cultural and Creative Industries and having a first class degree in Media and Communications, my desire is to continuously explore the thrills and chills of the arts world by turning my love for cultural products and my passion for MarComs into valuable professional experience. My main area of interest is film and entertainment promotions as making art more available to its consumers is a first step towards changing perceptions and stereotypes.

The fun part:

I have a 1st class BA degree in Media and Communications from the Birmingham City University and a pending MA in Cultural and Creative Industries from King’s College London.

I was part of Amvrofilms productions company – http://www.amvrofilms.co.uk/!

I have a Performance Certificate in Acting after a one year course at the Birmingham School of Acting (where I played Yseult in… Tristan and Yseult).

I was part of the Entrepreneurship Society at Birmingham City Uni.

I had my work published in an academic journal – #PR_BUZZ.

I go to every event related to PR, media or the film industry that I hear of.

I am training to become a personal development and hopefully a corporate coach.

I am a scout 🙂 and I do my best to be as active as possible even if I’m far away from my kids.

I make a few extra pounds from photography from time to time.

I worked as costume designer and continuity responsible for a short film and am now helping to promote it.

I love to read and get lost in the stories (my favorite authors are Tracy Chevalier and Isabel Allende) and I watch around 10 movies a week (the most interesting ones are reviewed on the blog).
